Kansas City Royals has signed the first professional baseball player to autism

Tarik El-Abour is a unique person in the diverse world of Major League Baseball. El-Abour, a gardener who grew up in San Marino, California, recently signed a contract with the Kansas City Royals after spending the last two seasons with the Empire Pro Baseball League. Abour Rookie of the Year named by the League of the Empire after creating .323 in 122 appearances on the plate and in 2017 he won a championship with the Red Birds of Plattsburgh. However, it is not his rise from modest beginnings that makes his story so unlikely.
