Donte DiVincenzo Villanova's single films, his second title in three years

SAN ANTONIO - With clenched fists and clenched fists Donte Di Vincenzo de Villanova stepped in the middle of his first wave on the floor of the Alamodome.

He had the boast of a man who could not be arrested, and no one dressed in corn and blue could pretend otherwise.

Michigans stifling defender sealed the way by closing the three-point arc on Monday for the first eight minutes of the championship game until DiVincenzo caught fire and turned sharply. For the remainder of the first half, the red jersey launched an excellent series of incredibly deep trays, back dips and triples, helping Villanova to convert a seven-point deficit to nine points at halftime.

Michigan has never recovered from DiVincenzo's first point with 18 points. Villanova doubled his lead in the first six minutes of the second half, reaching his second national championship of the last three years at 79:62.

Look at the photos of the game:

DiVincenzo finished with 31 points, one more than his previous record of 30 races against Butler earlier this season. The only time that Michigan went in the second half, DiVincenzo responded with three points in a row, singing chest and high punches from his teammates and singing "Di-Vin-cen-zo". The Villanova fans behind the Wildcats Bank.

DiVincenzo's masterpiece in a title game led Villanova to a victory that will mark a culmination in a five-year career of excellence almost unprecedented in the recent history of college basketball. The Wildcats are from the start of the 2013-14 165-21 season, including a pair of national championships and seven combined regular season or Big East tournament titles.

The most impressive aspect of the last Villanova title was the ease with which the Wildcats destroyed their opponents. Villanova became the first national champion in North Carolina nine years ago to win six double-digit NCAA tournaments, a race that will forever improve the legacy of those who helped him.

Jay Wright strengthened his credentials in the Naismith Hall of Fame and placed himself in the elite company. The other two active Division I basketball coaches with multiple championships are Mike Krzyzewski (5) of Duke and Roy Williams (3) of North Carolina.

Jalen Brunson designed an ideal international of the year and increased his status among the Villanova greats. He, Mikal Bridges and Phil Booth are the only three wildcats to play an integral role in the 2016 and 2018 national championships.

And DiVincenzo has plunged into the history of NCAA tournaments with one of the best achievements in the national history of games that will accompany the triple Kris Jenkins vs. North Carolina 2016 as the best in the world. The story of Villanova.

While DiVincenzo was overshadowed this season by international Jalen Brunson and future Lottotrainer Mikal Bridges, this achievement was hardly out of nothing. He's a boy nicknamed Delaware's Michael Jordan in high school and, as his teammates said, was just as hard to maintain as Buddy Hield when he emulated the Oklahoma star on the scout team. two years

DiVincenzo was Villanova's sixth man this season with an average of 13 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists. While he has already produced great games, he has never done so on a bigger stage or against a better defense.

At the end of the game on Monday, Villanova bitten player DiVincenzo and threw the ball in the air. It was a well-deserved celebration for the hero of the last Wildcats title.
