A collection of rare photos show a softer side of men in the 1800s

In 2008, a librarian at Columbia University Herbert Mitchell died, a treasure bequeathed curiosities at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Mitchell was an obsessive collector of historical ephemera, trade catalogs funds Screen Daily and sanitation - elements Tintype professional portraits and other oddities.
